TERM 2 TALENT DEVELOPMENT SCHOLARSHIP WINNER Sydney - KEIRA MERIDITH

1 student at the studio winning a full scholarship for a FULL TERM (claimed in term 4 of the year).

This scholarship will be announced at in the following term. We feel this will allow students to push themselves each term, to be better team mates, performers and dancers, we feel giving everyone an equal opportunity throughout the year will allow students to shine, and better themselves as performers.

The criteria to be eligible for one of these scholarships will be based on:
• Commitment in class
• Attendance
• Pushing themselves and working on skills at home
• Volunteering / student teaching at the studio
• Dedication in class and as a performer
• Growth as a dancer
• Growth as a performer
• Team work / support

It’s not about being the best dancer or performer, it’s about the passion and commitment and personal drive and growth of a dancer. The scholarship can be won for consecutive terms, and also for a full year if the students are continuing to push themselves and shine. The program is about offering a helping hand to develop their dance career and also guide them and mentor them as dancers/ choreographers and performers. This scholarship will be claimed in term 4 for all winners

2015 FULL SCHOLARSHIP WINNER CENTRAL COAST: CHELSEA SLAPE

2015 “TALENT DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM” TERM 1 WINNER CENTRAL COAST: JASMINE WEEKES

• An email will be sent to your parents with all the terms and conditions and how to redeem the scholarship prize.

In regards to being eligible to winning a 2016 Full scholarship this is how the scholarships are judged:
Each teacher will nominate one child in each of his or her classes per term. The child who receives the most nominations over the course of the year will receive the Full scholarship (based on last two terms of 2014 due to introduction of scholarship)– the teacher will have looked at attendance in class throughout the year, dedication in class, commitment and hard work in class, presentation/ uniform, helping others, supporting the studio in a positive manner and always being a part of the team/class.
In 2014 we started our Elite Training team. If you are lucky enough to be selected for this team your fees (depending on amount of classes) are more than halved and there are specialized classes for performance and technique. Whilst we lose money on our elite classes we believe this is a better way for us to spend our scholarship allocation in order to benefit more children.

In order to win an Elite dancer scholarship your child must be achieving the following criteria below.
• Performance
• Presentation – hair/costume/uniform/outfit
• Practice
• Attitude/ drive
• Technique/flexibility
• Commitment

If you would like to apply or are interested in learning more about our elite teams please organise a meeting with us.
